The news service recently wrote that the software is currently undergoing internal testing by some employees. Late to the party: Apple’s AI revolution started relatively late
Tech giants like Google or Meta have already developed their own technologies for intelligent chatbots. In this vein, Meta recently launched its own AI language model, Llama 2. Microsoft even struck a multi-billion dollar deal with OpenAI iChat GPT. And Elon Musk recently founded the artificial intelligence company xAI.

To bolster Apple’s efforts, in 2018 the company brought on John Giannandrea, who previously managed Google’s artificial intelligence and search departments, to oversee Siri and its associated machine learning teams. According to Bloomberg, Giannandrea and Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering, are now leading the company’s latest artificial intelligence initiative.

According to Bloomberg, the Apple Chatbot — similar to ChatGPT — can, among other things, summarize texts and answer questions based on available information. The iPhone giant is already using functions with machine learning and artificial intelligence, for example to improve photos and auto-correct when typing or detecting a fall.
