Actual review of the UGREEN Revodok Pro 313 13-in-1 USB-C hub. I tried it on a Chromebook

In this article, we will be providing a review of UGREEN's new USB-C hub, the UGREEN Revodok Pro 313. Please note that we were provided with an actual device for the purpose of the review.

The new Revodok Pro 313 is a 13-port USB-C hub that supports up to three 4K outputs with USB-C, A, Ethernet, an SD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, a DisplayPort, and two HDMI ports. Is that

It requires no power supply and is plug and play when connected to a computer, with 85W pass-through charging from a 100W PD power supply. Since it has a power of 100W, operation is stable even when connecting multiple peripherals, but one of the USB-C ports is for power supply and does not support data transfer.

The main body is made of metal, its dimensions are 165 x 70 x 19 mm, and it weighs about 233 grams (actual measurement), which is not very heavy considering its appearance. The cable (for connecting to the computer) that comes out directly from the main unit is 20cm long, excluding the connector part.

The problem is that the orientation is fixed because it is connected directly to the main unit, but cables that are not often removed, such as DP/HDMI and Ethernet, can be stored at the back.

There are two ports on the back: USB-C for power supply, DisplayPort, HDMI, a 5Gbps USB-A port, and a 1Gbps Ethernet port. The front side has a microSD/SD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, a 5Gbps USB-A port, two 10Gbps USB-A ports, and a 10Gbps USB-C port.

Since they're not standalone power supplies, you can't charge them in each port unless you plug the hub into your computer, and none of the ports support fast charging. Therefore, the main task is to install peripheral devices (receivers, webcams, etc.) that work by connecting to a computer.

This is convenient if you have many peripherals with USB-A connectors, but if you have a newer laptop or MacBook with an increasing number of USB-C peripherals, you may need to use a conversion connector. It's nice to have one USB-C port on the front, but if I had to be greedy, it would have been convenient to have another USB-C port (i.e., replacing A with C).

In my case, I connect the webcam to port A on the back, and the headphone receiver to port A. I plan to use the remaining port A occasionally for conference speakers, gaming mouse receivers, etc.

I actually used the UGREEN Revodok Pro 313 to output to three monitors at WQHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. Connected laptops are the Thunderbolt 4-enabled RazerBook 13 (Windows) and HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook (ChromeOS).

Regarding Windows, all three monitors output at WQHD resolution, and there were no issues with scaling settings. On the other hand, with ChromeOS, although you can output to three displays, the resolution of one of the displays is set to the lowest resolution (800 x 600) and cannot be changed.

The HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook (ChromeOS) uses the top-end Core i7-1265U/16GB RAM, so there are no performance issues (in fact, it has higher performance than the Windows RazerBook), and it can output without issues on Windows. So, it's likely that this isn't an issue with the Revodok Pro 313, but rather some kind of limitation or issue on ChromeOS' part. As a result, I wasn't able to output to three WQHD displays using the Chromebook, which was my original goal.

However, after trying the settings a few times, I found that I was able to output to 3 monitors with a configuration of 1 WQHD and 2 Full HD, so it may be possible to do this by adjusting the monitor resolution. I haven't been able to verify this, but if you're outputting to 1 WQHD and 2 Full HD or 3 Full HD, it seems possible to use the Revodok Pro 313 on a Chromebook.

I continued my daily work with the device plugged in for several days, and the work was relatively stable. Although there was fever, there was no particular instability resulting from it.

Even large docking stations are often only able to output up to two displays, but the UGREEN Revodok Pro 313 is small, can be used without the need for a dedicated power supply, has plenty of ports, and is limited to Windows. Is that it can output up to three displays (4K).

On the other hand, the direction of connection to the computer tends to be fixed, so you have to consider placement, and if you have multiple USB-C peripherals, you'll need conversion connectors, etc., which is an issue if you want to connect devices other than Windows . If that doesn't apply to you, we recommend this as a triple-screen compatible and easy-to-use hub.

The UGREEN Revodok Pro 313 is sold on Amazon for 17,999 yen. At the time of writing, a 15% off coupon has been offered, so you can purchase it for 15,299 yen.
