Jack QuaidHe is best known for his starring role in the Amazon series “The Last Day”.BoysPopular American comedian John Kerry says in a TV series that he “tends to agree” with those who call him a “baby.”

The actor – whose parents are movie stars Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid – made the comments in a podcast interview with Daily Beast Earlier this week.

“I mean, no matter what I do, people are going to draw attention to it,” he said of the “Nebo Child” label.

“People have called me ‘the bastard child.’ I tend to agree with that. I’m a person of enormous privilege, and I was able to get representation very early on, and that’s more than half the battle.”

“I knew the door was open to me in a lot of ways, which isn't open to a lot of actors,” he said of his background, adding that he tried to “work as hard as I could to prove that I was worthy of walking through that door.”

The leader's father had previously indicated that his son wanted to make his own way without any help from his parents.

“My agent wanted to represent him and he said, ‘No, I want to do it myself,’” the elder Quaid explained during an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in 2020.

“And then, of course, he got his own agent and his first movie was 'The Hunger Games.'”

His mother, Ryan, also shared the story of the “Nebo Child” in Interview with Glamour Magazine Last year, she said of her son: “Jack is really talented. He's more naturally gifted than I am. This nepo stuff doesn't respect his work ethic, his talents, and how sensitive he is to the idea of his privilege.”

On the podcast, Quaid was asked if he had ever considered following in his mother's romantic comedy footsteps, who is best known for classics like “When Harry Met Sally,” “Sleepless in Seattle” and “You've Got Mail.”

“My mother is the undisputed queen of romantic comedy,” Quaid said. “I can’t just go into this business, it has to be right. It has to be something different enough from what she did.”
