The 45-inch Acer Predator X45 Monitor, which has been available for a few weeks, has been tested by the PRAD editors. The result is a comprehensive test report, at the end of which the device received a rating of Good. The latter is an OLED model with UWQHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels, 21:9), 240Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium and HDR10 support.
Thanks to OLED technology, it’s no surprise that the Acer Predator X45 not only delivers rich black levels, but also extremely fast switching times. In addition, there is high viewing angle stability, excellent color purity, very good energy efficiency and great processing quality. The ultra curved gaming monitor with 800R also offers 24Hz support for Blu-ray media.
Less convincing are aspects such as the brightness distribution and the fact that a semi-professional EBV calibration is required in the DCI-P3 or sRGB color space, otherwise the color accuracy would not be adequate. Overall, colleague Jachmann came to a positive conclusion: “In particular, the immersive experience created by the huge curved screen makes this test candidate a great projector.”
