Eastern Swiss companies are taking their first steps towards transformation
In the future, we can buy 3D glasses, hold meetings and go on vacation – at least that’s the future vision of the Metaverse. It remains unclear to what extent this will become a reality. But companies in eastern Switzerland are already thinking about what this means for them: they are creating virtual travel agencies or digital models of steel structures.
If you enter the virtual travel agency, you will soon find a small presentation room. Virtual chairs await spectators. The film is about a train journey across Africa, from Dar es Salaam to Cape Town. Behind them are seven doors that lead to the “inspiration rooms”: a step onto a balcony overlooking distant lands. If you wear VR glasses, you can experience it in three dimensions. There are catalogs to download and a button to contact us. It is also possible to go outside on the balcony, says Michael Mettler, CEO of Gossauer Helbling Reisen. On a South American balcony perched above Machu Picchu. “An inspiring experience.”
