On Monday, Bungie was the latest studio to experience company-wide layoffs. Now, in a new report from… Bloomberg, more changes are happening at Bungie aside from layoffs. According to Jason Schreier, Destiny 2’s The Final Shape DLC has been delayed.
The report states that the final form has been delayed from February 2024 to June 2024. The delay has pushed the DLC out of Sony’s current fiscal year, instead placing it in fiscal year 24-25.
It was also reported that Marathon, Bungie’s next game, has also been delayed to 2025. However, Insider Gaming has learned that a 2025 release was the plan from the beginning for the game, though a specific period during the year is not known. .
