Peripherals and lifestyle company Razer has announced a new line of mice, the Cobra series. The Cobra and Cobra Pro are described as symmetrical, immersive mice, which of course also have RGB lighting.
Razer has announced a new series of mice. The Cobra and Cobra Pro are particularly light mice, weighing 58 and 77 grams, respectively. The Cobra is wired, while the Cobra Pro can be connected and charged wirelessly via HyperSpeed Wireless, Bluetooth, or wired.
New mice are now available
Both peripherals are symmetrical right-handed mice. The Razer Cobra Pro uses the Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, while the Cobra uses an 8,500 DPI optical sensor. The maximum dpi is 30,000 for the more expensive Pro model and 8,500 for the cheaper Cobra.
The battery should last around 100 hours with the Cobra Pro’s HyperSpeed connection at 1000Hz. With HyperPolling Wireless and 4000Hz, battery life drops to about 33 hours. The mouse should manage a good 170 hours over Bluetooth. RGB lighting should be a huge factor in runtime. The Wire Cobra features underbody lighting and the Razer logo. However, the Cobra Pro is equipped with eleven lighting zones, including the bottom, mouse wheel, and logo.
The two mice are now available in the Razer online store and at participating retailers. The Razer Cobra costs €49.99, while the Razer Cobra Pro costs €149.99. Additional accessories for the Pro Mouse can also be purchased, such as the HyperPolling USB dongle, wireless charging module, and wireless charging station.
