With SuperCam, NASA’s diligent rover activated another instrument on Mars, targeting the surface with a laser and recording the sounds it produced. The US space agency announced not only detailed recordings of the instrument but also audio recordings. Among other things, two gemstones were photographed, which NASA named “Yehko” and “Mias”. Sound recordings allow not only to hear the wind once again on the Red Planet, but also to hear a laser fired 30 times at a stone three meters away.

Soil analysis by laser
The Called Super Game The diligent robot mounts the hand and implements the analysis of the rocks by laser spectroscopy. It helps to analyze the mineral, chemical, molecular and molecular composition of soil samples. It is so accurate that the pencil-tip-sized target can be explored from a distance of seven meters, the researchers explain. Among other things, they want to find traces of water and clues that may point to a former life. Dangerous objects can also be found for future astronauts. Supergame is the advanced successor to Chemcom in Curiosity.

Perseverance landed on Mars on February 18th. Landing was more of a challenge for the engineers than Curiosity, but it went without any problems. A few days later a video released by NASA recorded the first landing on another planet. Another video shows the images used to arbitrarily choose the right place to land.

Diligence is currently being prepared for its upcoming work, and various tools are being tested in detail. In addition, the rover has already flown the first 70 meters, taken thousands of photos and is preparing the helicopter it brought for the first test flight over the Red Planet. He is currently in a place where he can be set.
