GTA V debuted in 2013 and is still one of the most popular action games for PC and consoles. After the game was originally released for PS3 and Xbox 360, there were versions adapted accordingly when PS4 and Xbox One (X) were released. Now the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions should appear right away. Read more about its special features below.
GTA V remains Rockstar’s all-time favourite, and it’s currently being remastered for the third generation of consoles. But computer players and users of “old” consoles should also be able to benefit from the review. Two weeks before the release on current consoles, the developers posted more information in a post on Rockstar Wire.

GTA V is said to introduce different graphics modes on the new consoles for the first time, which players can choose from. The Fidelity preset offers 4K native resolution including ray tracing and aims at 30 frames per second. Due to the performance drop, Xbox Series S can only support this mode in 4K instead of the original resolution. Performance mode, which will probably be of interest to most gamers, offers up to 4K HD resolution at 60 frames per second. As a compromise, there’s also RT Performance mode, which also uses 4K upscaling, but at the same time is supposed to offer ray tracing at 60 frames per second. All next-gen releases should offer improved aliasing, nicer lighting, more detailed vegetation, and faster load times.
The PS5 controller with haptic feedback is supported and should offer different resistances based on different surfaces depending on the in-game weather. Tempest 3D Audio and Spatial Sound should also be supported. Five new cars will be added to the online mode, new updates and a new racing mode will be available. New players in the online mode will get $4,000,000 in GTA, vehicles, weapons, and a tutorial at first. They should be able to directly start burglaries, races and free mode via the main menu. GTA V and GTA Online for current consoles are scheduled for release on March 15 and can be downloaded in preload from March 8.
