Many of you are probably familiar with Black Shark, the gaming series from Xiaomi. It’s well known and popular in Europe, but it’s not a series that you can get right now with a contract with Telekom. Black Shark smartphones do not have a very large target group, which is already true of gaming smartphones in general.
But Xiaomi is sticking with it and although other brands have already left this category, they are busy showing off new flagship games. Next week is the Black Shark 5 series, which will premiere in China on March 30th.

Black Shark 5 for Germany?
I’m expecting a Black Shark 5 and a Black Shark 5 Pro, both of which will definitely come with good displays, speakers, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Co. If there’s one thing you can’t do without, it’s strength.
Will the new models come to us as well? I suppose we’ll see them in Europe in a few weeks. Black Shark has its own online store for Europe, where you will definitely be able to buy new smartphones.
Let’s see if we get to see a Plus release or something in the fall, because Qualcomm is said to have planned a faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version for 2022 and gaming brands are very happy with the selection of the new chips.
