Amazon has announced its collaboration with Xbox. In July, the Xbox app will be available on select Fire TV devices.
Xbox Cloud Gaming on Fire TV Stick starting July
Starting in July, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to access and play hundreds of games directly from the Xbox app on select Fire TV devices via Cloud Gaming, without having to own an Xbox console. Amazon names the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2023) as compatible devices. A Bluetooth-enabled controller is also required to play.
The Xbox app simply installs on your compatible Fire TV Stick and prompts you to connect to your Xbox account. If you own Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can access your game library right away. If you’re not a member yet, you can sign up directly in the app. By the way, Xbox and Playstation wireless controllers are listed as compatible controllers.
