WWE changes the name of the rising star of SmackDown?

It looks like WWE has changed the way one of SmackDown’s rising stars is presented.

last night during WWE “SmackDown”Fans may have noticed a slight modification to the name Madcap Moss. During the commentary, announcers were simply referring to him as “Madcap”. Furthermore, when the No Holds Barred match between Madcap and Happy Corbin for “Hell in a Cell” was announced this Sunday, the drawing for the match only used the name “Madcap” as its title.

However, as of this writing, “Madcap Moss” is still the Twitter name of the WWE superstar, and when WWE.com They published the official announcement of the match, and still refer to it as “Madcap Moss”. It is possible that these changes will change at a later time as the switch is implemented across the company.

we Notice how Madcap returned to the blue brand last night With new music and the announcement that his former character, Madcap Moss, “has not just disappeared, [he] Bury him.” Happy Corbin would make his presence known but ultimately refused to fight Madcap. This led to WWE official Adam Pierce announcing an impromptu match between the two friends who turned into opponents instantly, but was cut short by a quick DQ as Madcap attacked Corbin with a chair.

This resulted later in the show when Pierce announced a singles match between Corbin and Madcap for Sunday “Hell in a dungeon” Featured live event.

Madcap was signed with WWE back in 2014 and ran as part of NXT until November 2019. He was then called up in January 2020 and worked some “Raw Underground” and 24/7 title segments before matching up with Corbin in fall 2021.
