Microsoft is about to release a new Windows. Windows 11 is supposed to be the “best Windows for gamers yet” – and it now has a launch date.
Microsoft wants to significantly further improve the ubiquitous Windows operating system, and according to its own data, it puts gamers in mind above all else. With the new Windows 11, you don’t want to offer less than the best Windows for gamers yet. The start date for this is now set as well.
As the company has now confirmed, Windows 11 will begin rolling out on October 5, 2021. The phrase “from” already gives you an idea: Not everyone will benefit directly from the new OS release or the corresponding upgrade to Windows 10. Instead, Microsoft will gradually work on Availability of the new version on more and more systems. The main thing is to ensure the high quality of the operating system and startup.
Windows 11 was announced in June and is said to have several special features for gamers. Among other things, DirectX 12 Ultimate, DirectStorage or Auto HDR should be mentioned here. There will also be a completely redesigned Microsoft Store with a new design. In the future, you will also be able to purchase Android apps for Windows 11 there for the first time.
Other innovations in Windows 11 are a revised start menu, snap layouts, snap groups, or a custom tool feed. In addition, Xbox Game Pass for PC is deeply rooted in the new operating system.
Windows 11 is available as an upgrade for many Windows 10 PCs and is usually pre-installed on newly delivered PCs. The upgrade will initially be granted to newer PCs running Windows 10, and over time, older PCs will also be offered in their phased rollout.
