The Windows 11 2022 Update is here and it seems to be causing problems. Because IT security news site Bleepingcomputer

mentioned
Nvidia graphics card owners complain of low performance when playing games. It was mainly known that the Windows 11 Fall Update will result in a performance loss: Windows 11 – New update costs performance. However, these were effects on the processors. But the performance losses now described in relation to Nvidia graphics cards are a new, previously unknown problem.

This is how the problem presents itself

Some players report stuttering and severe lag when playing games. Obviously, CPU usage decreased significantly after installing the Windows 11 2022 update:

From 80 percent before that to just 5 percent. After removing the fall update, the problem should be gone.

I just updated to 22H2 and am now dealing with very unstable FPS in all my games. I have good specs for gaming and have never seen any problems before (Ryzen 3600, 1070 TI, 16GB RAM). Games are basically unplayable

In the Microsoft forum

Such comments accumulate.
Those affected unanimously reported that the issues will be resolved once the Windows 11 2022 Update is removed.

But it seems to have a solution:
“Increase process priority in Windows Task Manager: right click, details, right click again, priority. Then the CPU usage of this process is no longer limited.” The user suspects that this is part of the (as he puts it) “new litter for green energy delivery” announced by Microsoft. Furthermore: “By raising it in stages until the stuttering stopped, I was able to fix my stuttering issues in Final Fantasy XIV. When everyone started mentioning that their processor was set at 5% per game, I was excited because it got me thinking about the power limit” .

However, Microsoft has not yet confirmed whether this assumption by the user is correct or not.

Nvidia Already Check

Microsoft has not yet confirmed these performance issues when playing after installing the Fall Update. nvidia

On the other hand, the problem is already being investigated.

It is best not to install the update at this time

As long as there is no clarity about this issue or Microsoft and/or Nvidia has not resolved it, it is best for owners of Nvidia graphics cards not to install the Windows 11 2022 Update.
