Why is there only one hydrogen filling station in Thuringia

In Thuringia, filling stations for hydrogen-powered cars are extremely rare. To be precise, there is only one hydrogen filling station in Bavaria – in Erfurt at Urbicher Kreuz in the southeast of the city.

There should be around 400 hydrogen filling stations in Germany by 2023. At the moment on the general map h2-Mobility found 95 refueling options and only eight planned projects. Thuringians who do not want to fill a void in Erfurt will find the nearest stations in Zwickau or Halle.
