Brandy had fans worried after she suddenly left the stage during her concert with Monica on Saturday night.

The duo performed as part of The Boy Is Mine Tour at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday night. in videos Posted online, Brandy can be heard saying: “Give me one second, I gotta get…” She didn’t finish the sentence but left the stage and didn’t return.

On Sunday, she posted on her Instagram account an explanation of the reason.

Addressing her “dear fans in Chicago,” Brandi wrote: “Thank you all for the overwhelming love, support and – most importantly – your prayers. I sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night’s performance in Chicago. After weeks of non-stop rehearsals, last night I struggled with dehydration and feelings of wanting to pass out. Everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being It was very important.

“I still made the decision to try to come back and do everything I could even though I didn’t feel well. With having to make some adjustments and the show being so technical, unfortunately, it was impossible to fully connect vocally with the production. I really appreciate everyone’s best efforts,” she continued.

According to reports, Monica performed the rest of her set solo, and the audience was unable to hear the duo’s famous song, “The Boy Is Mine,” after which the tour is named.

Brandi said in her post that she saw a doctor immediately after leaving the arena and “took proper precautions” to move forward better. She thanked “my sister Monica for stepping up with such grace and professionalism, and thanked the entire crew for their continued care and support.”

She also thanked her fans.

“Your understanding, patience and unwavering faith means everything to me. I look forward to returning to the stage – stronger and more grateful than ever – alongside my daughter Monica, tonight in Indianapolis,” Brandi wrote.
