What did the “Toy Story” stars say about the new “Lightyear” movie

Tom Hanks Don’t think “Lightyear” is valid without the voice of the man who made Buzz Lightyear famous.

In a departure from tradition, though, the new movie stars Chris Evans as Buzz Lightyear — instead alinewho has voiced the cartoon character since 1995.

This decision left Hanks, aka Woody, confused. The actor who is starring in the new Baz Luhrmann movie”Elvis— who opened one weekend after ‘Lightyear’ — said he was excited to compete against his friend for American Eyeballs, until he heard the team had gone in a different direction.

“I wanted to come face to face with Tim Allen, but they wouldn’t let him do it,” he said recently. Tell Cinema mix. “I do not understand that.”

“But as long as people go back to the cinema,” he continued. “I want to go back to the stage with a group of strangers, and leave with something in common.”

Allen seemed equally confused about the sub-item, but added that he tried to “get away from it” because the people involved weren’t like them originally.

He said, “We talked about this many years ago, and I said, ‘What a fun movie that could be’ additional last week. “But the officers who made the first four movies aren’t… This is a whole new team that has nothing to do with the first movies.

He continued, “But there’s really no Buzz for ‘Toy Story’ without Woody.” “I’m not sure about the idea. I’m a conspiracy guy. When it was done in 1997, it seemed like a great adventure story. [This] It’s a great story, that doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the game. It has nothing to do with Buzz.”

Released June 17th titled “Lightyear” I stumbled at the box office, making just $50 million domestically in its first week before dropping 65% to $17.7 million in its second week. (For reference, the film had a production budget of $200 million, and 2019’s Toy Story 4 grossed $120 million in its first week.)

Despite this, Evans paid his respects to Allen, saying he studied his path to help prepare for the role.

“The reason we’re doing this movie is because Tim Allen has made such an iconic impact,” said Evans.
