The winners of the Best Games 2021 Awards from the official PlayStation Blog are already known. After a voting period open to the public, Sony revealed that the competition has been pretty fierce this year, with several titles “fighting” for the title of winner in multiple categories and even some twists along the way.
According to Sony, the PS Blog Game of the Year category recognizes the best titles released for PlayStation, including PS5, PS4, and PS VR, throughout 2021, featuring the audience’s most attractive characters, and soundtracks. That remained in the players’ ear, the graphics that dazzled more and more.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which hit stores in June, is emerging as Game of the Year on PS5. Insomniac Games also took the title of winner in the Best Art Direction, Best Use of DualSense, and Best Graphics categories. Insomniac Games itself won Studio of the Year, in a category in which it competed against Square Enix, Capcom and Bandai Namco.
Resident Evil Village, released in May of this year, was named Game of the Year for the PlayStation 4. The game also emerged as a winner in the Best New Character categories, with Lady Dimitrescu and Best Story.
