Walt Disney mansion for rent in Los Feliz for $40,000 per month — Deadline

The story of Walt Disney’s successful Los Angeles career began in the Los Feliz district of the city, where his first studio was located on a side street.

Now, you can rent the four-bedroom home that Disney built for his family in the area after a few years of animated success. Rob report It indicates that the house is available for rent at $40,000 per month.

The house was built by the animator in 1932, enlisting architect Frank Crowhurst. Film director Timur Bekmambetov bought it in 2011 for $3.7 million, unseen. And now, for rent.

“This property was chosen by Walt Disney as a place to raise his family, and it also coincided with Disney Studios’ transition from a startup to an entertainment giant,” listing agent Chase Kampen compass he said in a statement to Rob Report.

The house is located on Woking Way in Los Feliz and is said to have inspired 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It was also where Disney created Cinderella (1950) and Pinocchio (1940), as reported The Wall Street Journal.

The 6,400-square-foot Disney abode took just three months to build, and Bekmambetov has been restoring it for the past decade.

The house contains original details such as a spiral staircase, stained-glass windows, vaulted wood-beamed ceilings, and hand-painted frescoes. It also has a screening room where Disney used to watch dailies and run for the first time with this family.
