Last Tuesday (10), Guarani secured an important result in the struggle for a place in the G4 of Serie B Bugre beat Avaí, away, 1-0, scoring a second-half goal. Midfielder Andio, who has been a key player for Guarani in recent matches, highlighted the importance of the two victories and stressed that the victory over Avai brings more confidence to the team.
Those were two very important victories for us to be able to regain the confidence we had. Yesterday our team showed great strength and delivery. The victory over Avaí should be very valuable, because they are a very strong team, they are a direct competitor in the fight for G4 and the way they were, that gives us great confidence.
After two consecutive victories, over Brasil de Pelotas and Avai, Guarani entered the G4 of the second division. The team from Campinas has 29 points and is in third place, one point behind Nautico and Curitiba, respectively captain and deputy captain of the competition. In the next round, Guarani will play away again and will face another candidate for access, Goiás. Andio spoke about his match predictions against Esmeraldian.
– Now we have another away game, against a very strong team, and again a direct competitor to G4. I think our team is ready, and we will study Goiás a lot, so that we can get a good result by playing away from home, to continue in G4.
