It's a sad day for Ubisoft fans: on January 25, the studio will shut down several games entirely. For gaming enthusiasts, there will be no alternatives, and they will be lost forever. Here you can find out which games are affected.
It is inevitable that video game servers will be shut down sooner or later. This is exactly the fate that will befall ten Ubisoft titles on January 25th. These include several Assassin's Creed games and Ghost Recon Future Soldier. Fortunately, Ubisoft always announces any server downtime, so this is your last chance to enjoy and complete the games.
End for 10 matches
Some games are more affected by online server shutdowns than others. For example, if a game only offers simple online functionality, not much is lost. However, Ubisoft will also soon shut down the servers of some games whose loss of online functionality would have serious consequences. Unfortunately, players can't do anything about the impending shutdown. Once servers are offline, functionality is permanently lost. However, you still have the opportunity to get full access to the servers until January 25th. So, if you're still missing an achievement, you can still secure it.
The servers for these online games will officially close on January 25:
- Assassin's Creed 2 (Xbox 360)
- Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (Mac)
- Assassin's Creed Liberation HD (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)
- Assassin's Creed Revealed (PC)
- Ghost Recon Future Soldier (PC)
- Heroes of Might and Magic 6 (PC)
- NCIS (PC)
- Ross (PC)
- Splinter Cell: Conviction (Xbox 360)
- Trials Evolution (PC)
These games are not the only games that Ubisoft will say goodbye in 2024. It is already clear, among other things, that “Madden NFL 20” will be released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 15 of this year. To always stay informed about impending shutdowns that are already occurring, you can always call Ubisoft's official guide to discontinued games specific. Here you will find all affected games arranged alphabetically.
