Here is Ninja's full statement:

“Well, I'm still a bit shocked but I want to update you. A few weeks ago I went to a dermatologist for an annual skin/mole check which Jess preemptively scheduled for me. There was a mole on the bottom of my foot and they wanted to remove it just to be careful “It came back as melanoma, but they are optimistic that we caught it in the early stages. Another dark spot appeared nearby, so today they examined that and removed a larger area around the melanoma in hopes that under the microscope they would see clear non-cancerous edges and we would know we had it.” I'm grateful for my hope of finding this early, but please consider this as a public service test for skin checks.

Ninja became perhaps the most recognizable name in streaming by playing Fortnite on Twitch since late 2017. Since then, he has ventured out of the video game sphere to become a major celebrity in his own right, appearing on TV shows and other media.
