Maurer will continue to report to Group Chief Operating Officer Sandro Macciacchini.

According to the announcement, the organizational adjustment is “a consistent continuation of the group’s strategy to give companies more autonomy while maintaining synergies at the group level. Due to the decentralization of publishing technology, Tamedia is growing as a subgroup and repositioning itself in the technology space to meet the challenges ahead.” At the group level, it will ensure The integration of the different teams into a new area creates continuity and creates the basis for further targeted development.
Franz Borghi has been CIO of the TX Group since June 1, 2017. Together with his teams, he has pushed forward the TX Group’s “consistent” cloud strategy and was jointly responsible for setting up the publishing platforms at Tamedia and 20 Minuten.
Simon Maurer has been with the TX Group since January 1, 2016. Since then, he and his team have made a “significant” contribution to the transformation and digitization of services. Among other things, he was responsible for the consolidation of the acquired companies into services, the reorganization of corporate services including the introduction of Workday and comprehensive digitization of all operations as well as the development and management of the group’s rounding activities at TX Services in Belgrade.
