TV show owner James Corden said he was briefly denied entry to a New York City restaurant because of his “abusive” behavior.

A New York City restaurateur said he’s rescinded a ban on TV host James Corden, hours after the comedian was called out for being one of his restaurant’s “most abused” customers ever.

Keith McNally, The owner of the famous Soho restaurant Balthasar, He said on Instagram that the host of The Late Late Show called him and apologized deeply.

Noting that he believes “strongly” in second chances, McNally said, “Anyone transparent enough to apologize to a reckless person like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Baltasar.”

In a previous post, McNally Corden described it as “a little man’s creatine” and said it was “Corden 86. That didn’t make me laugh.”

McNally provided two examples of Corden’s alleged abusive behavior.

He referred to a manager’s report dated June, accusing Corden of showing a hair to a restaurant manager apologizing before demanding: “Bring us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all our drinks so far.” McNally also claimed that Corden alluded to writing “bad reviews” online.

In an October 9 report cited by McNally, Corden described being upset with his wife’s omelette.

The report said the kitchen staff made the dish a second time, but sent it with French fries instead of the salad, as Corden’s wife had requested.

“That’s when James Corden started screaming like crazy for the server,” the report said, accusing him of telling the server, “You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!”

McNally said the server apologized, brought the floor manager to the table and put the plate back on.

“After that, all was well,” the report said, noting that the manager gave Corden Promo glasses of champagne to “cool things down.”

The report stated that the manager said Corden was “pleasant to him but bad to the servant”, adding that she was “very shaky, but professional as she is, she continued to finish her shift”.

Corden’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Neither McNally nor the restaurant immediately responded to requests for more details on Monday.
