Today’s Wordle #710 hints, clues, and answer for Tuesday, May 30th

Today’s Wordle #710 hints, clues, and answer for Tuesday, May 30th

Well, you can almost see June from here, folks. He might be on his last legs. Summer officially begins in just three weeks, even though it already feels like summer to me.

I was thinking of the names of the months that day and it occurred to me that of them all, only May could be spelled backwards and create a word: Yam.

june retrograde is enuj. Mars is a cram (very close to magic, but no cigar). April is a lirpa (which you’re likely to do for something). July is lugging. August is Tsugua (which you can probably make up a name for some weird fantasy creature or town).

And forget all embers. It’s December again. You get the picture.

So it is something unique about the month of May, which is also the name of the shortest month. It may be for potatoes, and don’t forget it!

Let’s do this Wordle!

Wordle Bot Analysis

After I complete Wordle, I always head over to check in word bot To see how you scored, both in terms of everyone’s guess and whether or not you beat the bot.

Four guesses, but I think there’s a reasonable strategy all around. It was my opening guess strange And it fared really poorly, leaving me with only one yellow square and a whopping 336 guesses left.

I wanted to get the rest of the vowels out in one fell swoop, you guessed it on For my second word, I take out exactly zero squares and reduce the remaining possible solutions to just 27.

At this point, I had a hunch that Wordle might have a double E since all other vowels (other than Y) are excluded. It also could have been a single “E”, but guessing a double letter would at least allow me to test two more squares to place it. I got lucky with it Sleeps, which excluded every remaining solution but one: kneel down

And as Daenerys always said, over and over again, “Bend the knee!”

Kneel and obey!

Today’s result: loss today. Zero points for guessing on four and -1 point for losing to Wordle Bot, who guessed slate / torn / kneeling. Good job Wordle Bot, you bastard.

The origin of the word Wordle today

The word “kneel” has its origins in Old English. It can be traced back to the Old English word “cnēowlian” which means “bending the knees” or “bowing”. The root of this word is “cnēow” which means “knee”.

In word development, the initial “c” sound changed to a “k” sound, a phonetic shift common in Old English. Over time, the word’s spelling also evolved, eventually settling on “bowing” as we know it today.

The concept of bowing and the related verb “bowing down” have been an integral part of human culture and religious practices throughout history. Bowing is often associated with reverence, humility, prayer, submission, or supplication. The word has retained its meaning and significance through the centuries and is still widely used in modern English.
