Three more Mario titles in the Game Boy library will be available on Nintendo Switch Online next week. As Nintendo announced as part of its Mario Day announcements, the following games will be added to the service on Tuesday, March 12:
Game Boy version of Dr. Mario is the first version of the game, which was released simultaneously for the Game Boy and NES. The player must D. Help Mario kill all the viruses in his jar by dropping colored pills on them, as the colors must match in order for them to disappear. Since the Game Boy doesn't have a color screen, the discs are black, white, and gray instead.
- mario golf (game boy color)
Mario Golf was released in 1999, a few months after the release of the Nintendo 64 game of the same name, and was the first Mario Golf mobile game developed by Camelot Software Planning. The GBC version features a unique story mode, an RPG-like adventure where you choose one of four characters – Kid, Sherry, Joe, or Azalea – and compete with them in a series of tournaments, with their stats changing over time.
- mario tennis (game boy color)
Mario Tennis was released in 2001 and offered similar functionality to Mario Golf. Like Mario Golf, the GBC version focuses more on gameplay than power-ups, meaning it is less over-the-top than later Mario sports games. There's also a story mode here, Mario Tour, where you can choose between young Alex and Nina and help them advance through the Royal Academy.
