For some it is a passion, for others it is just a necessary evil: cooking. Not everyone is born with the talent and sense of how to transform individual ingredients into delicious dishes. Fortunately, there are plenty of cookbooks to suit all tastes, and now there's one for Super Mario fans. We've got a review copy and revealed what you can expect from the recipes.

At first glance, the cookbook makes a very good impression. The appearance is compelling, and even when you skim through it you notice that the pages and illustrations are of very high quality. Plus, the decorations are beautifully designed and, thanks to their nod to Mario, Bowser and Co., make you want to get started. Depending on how well your pantry is set up, you probably won't be able to avoid going to the supermarket for most things. Since the ingredients are not exotic, you can also find them in convenience stores and experience your first tastes.

The cookbook is divided into snacks, light foods, main dishes, desserts, baked goods, and drinks. Depending on the category, you can expect dishes that are somewhat similar to Super Mario Adventures, but the reference is always present and appropriate. There are also great descriptions of each dish in the cookbook, which will make you smile too. There is a lot of love in the details here.

In keeping with the New Year's Eve festivities, we first entered the cocktail section. What caught our attention was the “super soda,” which was supposed to look and taste great, all without the use of pop-ombs. A funny description that children also liked, and thanks to very good explanations, children and young people can do it with a little help. The situation was similar with the piranha skewers, which are made from the fruit and cut together, and therefore visually impressive.

It's not easy to master everything in the unofficial Super Mario cookbook, because in addition to pasta and cookie dishes, you can also expect cakes and other delicacies. Thanks to the specific difficulty level, you can use the book at your own level and also develop it further. We see a lot of potential here, especially in terms of putting parties and celebrations together. If I'm making dinner for myself, I probably won't spend any more time than necessary in the kitchen.

The cookbook is therefore recommended for all those who can relate to the world of Super Mario and prefer to be in the kitchen together, or as a source of inspiration for birthdays, anniversaries or similar occasions.
