It was noticeably absent from the third Thor movie (Waititi’s first in a director’s chair), and seemed to end the franchise, until it was… Announced at 2019 San Diego Comic-Con She will return for Thor 4 – not just as the subject of Thor’s affection but as the holder of the most powerful hammer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Foster’s version of Thor first appeared in the 2014 comedy “Thor” by Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman. Thor himself became unworthy of using Mjolnir, unable to lift the magic hammer off the ground, thus paving the way for Thor’s new female. Her true identity was kept a secret from him for months during its initial comedy show, and it’s likely a big secret as it was introduced in the MCU as well, adding more comedic fodder to one of Marvel Studios’ hilarious franchises as old Thor tries to figure out who the new Thor is.
Judging by the trailer, Guardians of the Galaxy are right around the corner in this movie Well, at least for a moment. A crew of misfits led by Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) strikes a duet with Thor at the end of “Avengers: Endgame” and they stay together at least until Thor goes to tackle the new mystery of Thor and this movie’s big bad guy: Batman!
Well, not that Streaming on HBO MaxBut Christian Bale, star of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, plays Gorr the God Butcher, the villain most likely to bring Thors together on screen.
Bale hasn’t been seen in this short sneak peek, but the first look should appear in the next full trailer for “Love and Thunder” before it hits theaters July 8.
