The thick gaming phone from ASUS will be introduced soon

It seems that the Taiwanese manufacturer ASUS is speeding up the pace of its releases a bit, because the new ROG Phones will be presented in April instead of in the summer. The company has now officially confirmed this with a teaser.

So on April 13th at 2pm German time, the ROG Phone 7 will probably be presented to the public along with one or two other variants. ROG Phones have been among the most technically powerful Android smartphones since the very beginning.

No time for a Snapdragon snap-in

Accordingly, it is no wonder that the ROG Phone 7 is of course equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. However, this also has something to do with the presentation date: the latest generation appeared shortly after the slightly upgraded Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 was revealed. It seems that ASUS does not want to take that time this time around.

Apart from that, the ROG Phone 7 is likely to come with a 6.8-inch display with an AMOLED panel, Full HD+ resolution, and 165Hz. There has been very little innovation in this area in recent years, and it’s also questionable how much improvement screens can ever get.

By previous benchmarks, at least one version of the ROG Phone 7 has 16GB of RAM, but a more svelte version with 18GB is also conceivable. Can you feel the difference in everyday life? i doubt it. There’s also talk of a 6,000mAh battery and 65W of charging power.
