Or Alexander Rick and Tobias Walliser, founders of the Lava Architectural Bureau. They have already helped design the green city of Masdar in Abu Dhabi. In Neum they designed the Trojena mountain sports resort.
However, there are also those who doubt Saudi Arabia’s success in the large-scale project. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time the country had made big announcements but then failed to follow through. The Jeddah Tower, for example, which may one day be the tallest building in the world, was supposed to be built last year. But the construction work is barely progressing and it is not clear when and if the building will be completed. Only a quarter of the 1007 meters has been reached.
