Farasis Energy, a leader in lithium-ion technology, unveiled its latest development: the “Super Pouch Solution” (SPS) technology at the China International Supply Chain Expo 2023. This is an innovation suitable for various car models and aims to improve charging efficiency and reduce costs.
The SPS system achieves a power density of over 220 W/kg, allowing cars to travel over 1,000 kilometers on a single charge. “The unique horizontal non-modular design allows for an increase in energy density of more than 30% compared to conventional modular systems of the same size.”As explained by Farsis Energy Company. It outperforms traditional batteries through new design and advanced cell technology. 800VTC (Turbo Charge) technology enables rapid charging and discharging, allowing the car to reach a range of up to 400 kilometers in just ten minutes.
Farasis Energy has also improved the design of the SPS system to reduce weight and increase efficiency. Thanks to 75% volume utilization and a halved component reduction, these battery systems are up to 30 kg lighter. Additionally, integrated thermal management improves safety and extends battery life. We're talking about up to 3,000 life cycles, which increases the battery's service life.
The PLC is not only powerful, but also cost-effective. Simplified production and the ability to use different chemical systems reduces material costs by 33%. The production line is flexible and can be adapted to different types of cars. In practical terms, this means that battery system capacities can be adjusted from 80 kWh to 150 kWh. So SPS is suitable for all types of unibody vehicles.
