EVGA’s innovative E1 gaming PC, which is built with a carbon-fiber frame and features exposed components, can now be pre-ordered in various kits for a total cost of US$5,000. The cheapest kit, which only comes with the frame, costs $1,600.
Meanwhile, US PC component maker EVGA is sparkling with premium pricing for its new E1 gaming PC, which the company already teased in January. This all-in-one computer has drawn attention due to its unusual design. Because the components of the E1 are free in space, since the chassis consists only of a carbon fiber frame where the main board is suspended using steel cables at each corner.
EVGA E1 in three variants for at least $1,600
The premium prices mentioned can perhaps be explained by the fact that the frame is made of premium materials, EVGA explains. The chassis is made of carbon fiber woven 100 percent 3K carbon fiber and weighs just 1.25kg. The question that remains to be clarified is what premium prices would EVGA require for an E1. The first thing to note here is that there are three ordering options for a full PC, and depending on which one you choose, the components will be more incomplete.
The cheapest option to order is the EVGA E1 Kit 2. Customers can only be satisfied with the carbon fiber frame and VGA head assembly, but they have to pay approximately US$1,600 for it. If you want at least one graphics card and an EVGA power supply, you’ll likely choose the #1 kit. It includes the Geforce RTX 3090 Ti Kingpin Hybrid and the Supernova 1600 W T2. This costs more than double that, about $3,700 USD.

Finally, there’s the full action, “EVGA E1 Bare Bones.” This kit provides additional components, which include the Powerlink 52u power adapter, the Z690 Dark Kingpin motherboard and the “Premium Charging Case” for E1 PC storage. Interested parties can finally disburse 5000 USD for this purpose. Apparently, this version also lacks a processor, RAM, memory, and the operating system, at least it is not mentioned. Accordingly, the user himself must contribute to these things. EVGA is also asking potential customers to keep in mind that all variants are a “build-to-order” offering and therefore have a lead time of three to four weeks.
