The new “The Legend of Zelda” is just fun!

Leipzig – Has there ever been a bad “The Legend of Zelda” game? At least we can't remember that. The last two branches to Nintendo Switch Anyway, these were milestones in the genre. Also, Echoes of Wisdom is a really good character.

This time you can even slip into the role of the eponymous princess as hero Link is dragged into a dark rift while trying to save the woman of his dreams.

Now Zelda has to lend a hand. But since she is not familiar with sword fighting, in Echoes of Wisdom she mostly uses a kind of magic wand which has a really cool ability.

The tool can remember different objects such as tables or stones and make them appear to you in different places at any time.

For example, you can cross obstacles or reveal tractors, which you can then throw at enemies.

Speaking of enemies: they can also be “scanned” after they die and then summoned as comrades-in-arms. There's something very satisfying about multiple Moblins bumping into each other on a chew bar.

However, if you miss classic Zelda combat, you don't have to completely give it up, there's a lot to be said for it.

Otherwise, you'll enjoy an incredibly beautiful and sophisticated adventure on your old Switch. For some puzzles, especially when it comes to accessing some treasure chests, you have to solve a lot of puzzles and use the items you remember cleverly.

But the whole thing has such a nostalgic charm that we didn't want to put the console away for long. Zelda's solo action is diverse, likable, and never boring.

If there's anything to complain about, it's the Echoes' confusing menu bar and the annoying blending of juices.

Aiming didn't always work instantly either.
