After many leaks, today Motorola has officially introduced a whole host of new smartphone models. In addition to the Moto G73 5G and the cheaper Moto G23, Moto G13, and Moto E13 models, the Motorola Moto G53 5G is also one of the new releases today.
Like other models, the Moto G53 5G will go on sale in Europe today, according to the press release, but it isn’t listed everywhere yet. Among other things on German site Motorola’s new 4GB + 128GB model is already listed and available there for €249.99 – €50 cheaper than the Moto G73 5G.
In contrast, the Moto G53 5G offers selectively lowered gear. Motorola uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 480+ 5G SoC clocked at up to 2.2GHz as the chipset. Depending on the version, Motorola bundles up to 8GB of RAM. The storage space can be expanded via microSD. At 5,000mAh, the battery is about the same size as the Moto G73, but it only charges at up to 10W.
The screen diagonal is also identical at 6.5 inches, but only 1600 x 720 pixels (HD +) is displayed at a pixel density of 269 ppi. The refresh rate is 120Hz here, too. Motorola put a 16MP (f/2.2) selfie snapper in a tiny hole.
The rear camera also relies on a dual setup with a 50 MP (f/1.8) main camera with Quad Pixel technology and PDAF (photo autofocus) and an 8 MP (f/2.2) macro viewfinder with autofocus, macro, sensor depth and 118 Ultra wide angle degree. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, NFC, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.1 and Android 13 with My UX. In terms of color, the Motorola Moto G53 5G is available in Ink Blue, Arctic Silver, and Pale Pink.
Technology has fascinated me for about 25 years – especially when it makes life easier rather than more complicated. Mobile devices such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches are particularly close to my heart, as is the burgeoning smart home topic. I’ve worked in these fields for many years as a test and news editor. I have been working or working on various sites, such as smart home blogs from homee, Nuki, siio, as well as many technology portals such as Giga and Techradar. I’ve been writing news and laptop reviews for Notebookcheck since Spring 2020.
