The Lord of the Rings: Gollum release has been delayed – that’s behind it

Daedalic informed the community today, Monday, July 25, 2022, that his release will be delayed “by a few months.” The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was originally slated for a release in 2022. The newly released statement reads:

We strive to meet the expectations of our community and unveil Gollum’s untold story in a way that lives up to JRR Tolkien’s vision.

In order to offer the best possible experience, we have decided to postpone the release of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum for a few months. We will provide you with an accurate schedule in the near future.

We are grateful to our passionate community and can’t wait to share this unique adventure with you soon! “

It remains to be seen how many months it really takes and when we can expect the release. An exact timeline of the new release date will follow. Unfortunately, those responsible did not give a specific reason for the delay, but they stuck to the often used phrase such as the desire to improve quality in order to eventually deliver the best possible product.

In the end, everything can be hidden behind this formula. For our part, we can only hope that the deferment was worthwhile and that in the end it really contributes to a more well-rounded overall experience.
