The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has delighted gamers since its launch in May this year. With a massively redesigned map and the addition of two additional regions, the latest iteration of the iconic Hyrule offers more content than ever before. There are many interesting places, treasure chests, enemy camps, forbidden shrines, and of course the infamous Krog Seeds to discover. There are also a number of main and side puzzles and quests waiting to be solved by you. Those familiar with Breath of the Wild’s experience of losing their way three times a minute and losing themselves in the game’s massive world are always lured in by more mysteries to discover in Tears of the Kingdom. So you can keep up with it all, Piggyback Interactive Limited published the official book of the game in June – and gave us a review copy. We’ve taken a closer look at what awaits you in the Book of Solutions and whether it’s a worthwhile companion on your journey through Hyrule.

The first of nearly 500 pages is devoted to the basics of the game, including the controls, the game world, and the most important gameplay elements. With a title as comprehensive as Tears of the Kingdom, it certainly doesn’t hurt to have a good understanding of Link and his abilities before embarking on your open-world adventure. The guide tells those who want a high-level overview of the main objectives and want to know roughly what you had to accomplish when you were in the game.
Then it’s back to work. In more than 200 pages you will receive detailed descriptions and solutions of all main quests, episodes, side quests and forbidden shrines. It not only explains where you can find the quest or which shrine, but also shows how you can best deal with the quest with the help of several screenshots. Quests and shrines are sorted by game region, so you can follow a tour of the entire Hyrule region, which will guide you past all the important objectives – a complete solution to mastering the story and to help Link to the peak of his power. To be fair, it should be said at this point that the chapters on main objectives also contain plot spoilers as well as boss fights and other secrets.
Thanks to the detailed maps, you will not miss any of the secrets that the huge game world has to offer

The highlight of the book is undoubtedly the 100-page atlas, which presents you with sections of maps in which all places of interest, special treasure chests, or the locations of all the Krugs are marked. Hard-to-find objects, such as those in caves, are also explained in more detail on the maps and in some cases given with the exact coordinates in the game, so you don’t miss anything. Signatures, as they are used in the game itself, show you at a glance where interesting places such as ban shrines, enemy camps, or wells and cave entrances are located. Detailed maps are available for all three levels of the game, the surface, underground and of course the sky islands, which leave nothing to be desired.
Finally, you will find an extensive catalog of all the items and equipment available in the game including locations, enemies, cooking recipes, mini-games, compatible amiibo characters and their bonuses, and much more. Here you will find everything your heart desires container – sometimes even things you had no idea existed in the game. Of course, this part of the book is also attractive and offers pictures of all the lost possessions and enemies that appear in the game.
The official book of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was released in two editions: the Regular Edition is available in paperback, while the Collector’s Edition is available in hardcover with design elements from the game embossed.
