The Las Vegas Lovers & Friends Festival has been canceled due to potentially hazardous weather

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Lovers & Friends Festival in Las Vegas has been canceled for next Saturday's showtime due to weather, according to festival organizers.

The festival posted the announcement late Friday night on its X account.

The Lovers and Friends Festival has unfortunately been canceled due to bad weather expected on Saturday. Fans who purchased tickets directly through Front Gate Tickets will receive a refund within 30 days“, read the post.

The festival returned to Las Vegas for the third year in a row and was scheduled to open on Saturday with the participation of many artists.

The festival website indicated that organizers have been monitoring the weather for several days and are proactively preparing for a stormy Saturday. However, the National Weather Service issued a high wind warning, including dangerous sustained winds of 30 to 35 mph with gusts likely to exceed 60 mph. Following advice from the National Weather Service and in consultation with local government officials, organizers have decided that they must make the safest decision for fans, artists and staff, canceling the Lovers & Friends Festival tomorrow.

“This was an extremely heartbreaking decision as we realize that fans have traveled from all over the world to enjoy this amazing lineup of stars and have been looking forward to this event for months. We have done everything we can to create a great event for you, and we are just as disappointed as you are.” As stated by the organizers on the festival website.

Ticketholders who purchased their tickets directly through Front Gate Tickets will receive a refund within 30 days to their original payment method, according to the website.
