The highly anticipated trailer for The Archies movie, which will be released directly on Netflix, has finally been released. Not surprisingly, this film has been making headlines since it was announced, featuring the first performances of star children like Suhana Khan, daughter of superstar Shahrukh Khan. She also has Khushi Kapoor (younger daughter of late Sridevi) and Agastya Nanda (grandson of Amitabh Bachchan).
What’s interesting if we go into the trailer is that more and more people are moving away from the traditional format of trailers, with less focus on dialogue, songs, battles and endings. In fact, director Zoya Akhtar has taken a creative approach to cutting the trailer for The Archies, proving that innovative ideas can leave a lasting impression on audiences. However, Suhana didn’t leave any special mark with the trailer, as her character arc isn’t established even though she has a good screen presence.
The trailer opens with a glimpse of young boys and girls enjoying life. With her playful energy and emotional depth, director Zoya Akhtar seems to have delivered another captivating piece of cinema. Set in the fictional hillside town of Riverdale in 1964, the film feels both familiar and fresh. From rock and roll to friendship, love, and heartbreak, The Archies promises a lively, emotionally charged experience audiences won’t soon forget.
The vibrant fashions and retro ensembles perfectly capture the nostalgia of the bygone days. Despite being students, the characters seem to have their share of exciting adventures in the great outdoors. The background score also adds to the appeal of the movie with its sweet melody which makes us eagerly anticipating the release of the latest album.
