Praga Cars, a Czech company with a history dating back 117 years, has begun production of a new supercar called Bohema, which was developed entirely in-house. This time, the exclusive Bohema factory has been unveiled for the first time, and the first vehicles are scheduled to be delivered in Europe in the first half of 2024.
It will be one year since the prototype was announced in 2022
The Bohema, whose prototype was first unveiled in late 2022, will be handcrafted and produced in small numbers over the next four years. It is said that it may be the last Hypersport model from Praga to be equipped with a petrol engine. Developed as a full carbon fiber aerodynamic two-seater, the Bohema weighs less than 1,000 kg and is equipped with a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged Nissan V6 engine in the rear midrange that produces a maximum power of 700 hp.
Thomas Kasparek, owner of Braga Cars, commented on the start of production of the Bohema as follows:
“Bohema represents an important milestone in Praga’s long 117-year history. We are proud to have begun full-scale production just one year after introducing the prototype. We closely monitor every step of the manufacturing process to ensure that Bohema production specifications meet and exceed Our customers' expectations.”
Tests were carried out on tracks around the world
This time, Bohema's first customers visited a dedicated assembly facility in Braga. We've observed the handcrafted manufacturing process, which focuses on high-quality materials, advanced technology and beautiful finishes. In addition, the final production version is being tested on icy public roads in the Czech Republic before delivery scheduled for spring 2024.
Delivery to this customer in Europe is expected to take place in the first half of 2024. The first Bohema production car will be equipped with special equipment and specifications and will be unveiled to the public. Deliveries are scheduled to take place not only in Europe but also in the UAE and the United States in 2024, and production plans for 2025 have already been drawn up.
Braga will begin production of the Bohema in 2023 after completing an extensive pre-production development program and road track testing which took place at races such as Spa-Francorchamps, the Red Bull Ring and the Nürburgring. The world's best drivers, including Formula 1 and IndyCar campaigner Romain Grosjean, former BBC Top Gear star The Stig, Ben Collins, chief test driver at Braga, and experienced GT racer Josef Kral, provided various comments. .
Ben Collins, who was involved in the Bohema test program as well as PR activities, said:
“This summer I traveled around Europe and the Middle East to introduce the Bohema to customers and share its unique experience. Once production begins, this amazing car will be in the hands of customers on the streets and tracks. We are one step closer to seeing this goal achieved. 2024 will be the year Especially for Braga and our customers.
