The E3 Games Show could be longer

Having been canceled in 2023, the E3 Games Show will apparently not take place in 2024 and 2025 either – at least not in Los Angeles. The organizers are currently holding talks about other editions.

Some talk about a few years off, others about their end. The fact is that the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which until now is one of the most important video game exhibitions in the world, will not be held in Los Angeles in 2024 or 2025. These reports “edges”, which in turn is based on a report by the Los Angeles Tourism Commission. Contains a graph of expected and already booked overnight stays. A footnote to this fee states that the city does not assume the fair will take place in the next two years.

Recently, E3 2019 was actually held. In 2020 and 2021, it took place online only due to the pandemic and was canceled entirely in 2022. The organizers finally canceled the 2023 edition, less than three months before the planned event.

From the official side, there is hardly any information about the show’s future. The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), which organizes the show, was quoted as saying in the “Theverge” article that talks are currently being held about other editions. According to the news portal, there is a possibility that the organizers will not cancel E3, but only transfer it to another site. Meanwhile, the portal notes that many game manufacturers have presented their innovations at their respective events, including Sony, Nintendo and Ubisoft.
