The classic adventure game Beyond Good & Evil is making its big return: Ubisoft has re-released the action adventure to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The “20th Anniversary Edition” is now available on all major platforms and offers not only nostalgic memories, but also many new additions and improvements.
Back to Healy's: What's going on?
In “Beyond Good & Evil” you will play the role of Jade, a brave reporter who, along with her friends Pey'J and Double H, wants to uncover a conspiracy that threatens her home world. The journey takes players from the picturesque landscapes of the planet to the mysterious expanses of the moon. The result is an exciting story full of adventures and surprises.
New features and improvements
The 20th Anniversary Edition offers a number of improvements. The game now runs in 4K at 60 frames per second, allowing for smoother, more detailed graphics. There are also practical features like auto-save and the ability to skip cutscenes. In addition, the game now supports both controllers, keyboard, and mouse. Thanks to the cross-save function, you can save game progress across platforms.
The new version also offers a variety of new content. An exclusive anniversary gallery showcases previously unpublished artwork and videos and provides exciting insights into the game's development. For Speedrun fans, there's a new mode that challenges you to complete the game in record time. There are also over 20 new achievements waiting to be discovered.
A special highlight is the new treasure hunt, which reveals more about Jade's past and offers exclusive cosmetic rewards. These missions also provide clues about the connection to Beyond Good & Evil 2 and show that Ubisoft is far from abandoning the series.
advice: To mark the 20th anniversary, there's also an exclusive vinyl edition of Christophe Heral's original soundtrack.
The new Beyond Good & Evil game is available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store).
