The Crew Dragon “Endeavor” used on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) human spaceflight mission “Crew-8” was launched on May 2, 2024, with four crew members on board. At 10:57 p.m., the spacecraft left the docking port in front of the ISS's Harmony module, and at 22:46 on the same day, it successfully re-docked to the docking port above the module.
The move was carried out for the Crew Dragon “Endeavor” spacecraft as part of preparations for the “Crew Flight Test (CFT)”, a crewed flight test of Boeing's new “Starliner” spacecraft.

There are two locations where the Starliner, Crew Dragon and the “Cargo Dragon” supply ship can dock with the ISS: in front of and above Harmony. The Starliner is scheduled to be docked forward, but the Crew Dragon is docked there, so it must be moved over Harmony before the Starliner is launched. The Cargo Dragon was anchored in the docking port above Harmony until April 29, 2024, so it was necessary to wait for the Cargo Dragon to depart before moving the Crew Dragon. The International Space Station frequently moves spacecraft docking positions, and according to NASA, this was the 28th move in the history of the International Space Station.

CFT's Starliner is scheduled to launch at 11:34 on May 7, 2024, and dock with the ISS on May 8 at 1:48 p.m. According to the center, the weather forecast for today at Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, where the United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket carrying the Starliner vehicle will be launched, is as follows: This means that there is a 90% probability that well.
