While Netflix It’s making headlines as prices soar, and it looks like the US company is also working on making more with the same money. And you don’t just think of pure movies or series.
The successful experience with “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” showed that Netflix users definitely want to interact with content and are generally open to video games. Netflix: Streaming games ‘over the next year’
How Bloomberg report nowNetflix wants to bring the games to the streaming platform “within the next year” at no additional charge, as they will appear alongside movies and series.
The idea is to have video games on the Netflix streaming platform within the next year, according to a person familiar with the situation. Games will emerge as a new type of program alongside existing programming – similar to what Netflix did with documentaries or specials.
To get the idea, Mike Verdo was hired as VP Game Development, who has been involved in EA’s “Sims,” ”Star Wars,” and “Plants vs Zombies” games, among other things. At Facebook, he was most recently responsible for bringing games to Oculus VR glasses.
Creating new types of stories
