Among them are Christopher Langner (Institute of Mechatronics Bocholt of the University of Westphalian), Lucas Ringpiers (Transformation Agency of the University of Applied Sciences Münster), Dr. Kathleen Spring (bioanalytik Münster eV) and Gotthard Walter (IWARU from the University of Applied Sciences Münster) and Dr. Wiebke Wesseling (Network Surface NRW eV). They are available to companies as contact persons, advising them and helping them communicate with relevant stakeholders. Lukas Rengbers, for example, is an expert in the field of digital solutions and has put together a great deal of content for Kompass. Technological developments are happening faster and faster. That’s why we want to draw attention to technology trends at a very early stage that could soon also play a major role in small and medium-sized businesses, says the technology scout. In the field of digitization, these are, for example, applications of artificial intelligence or applications of extended reality. Additionally, the project draws attention to other offerings within technology exploration. For example, Get-Started! , which allows companies to enter the world of technological exploration in Münsterland. Also held was the first Techathon – a competition of ideas in which companies present a technical challenge and students develop solutions. Business and science also exchange ideas in tandems of technology and develop projects together. “With our actions, companies get an overview of new technologies, learn about methods, and can find partners and work together to find solutions,” says Bernd Pudding. “We are curious to see what private technology contacts and networks this will result in.”
