News of the sudden death of veteran composer and singer Babi Lahiri has shaken the entire fraternity of Indian cinema. Veteran singer and composer Babi Lahiri, better known as the King of Indian Disco, passed away on February 15, 2022 at the age of 69 at CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai. A truck decorated with flowers has arrived to transport Babi Lahiri’s remains to the crematorium. Baba Lahiri, son of popular singing legend Babi Lahiri, has returned from the United States with his family to perform his father’s last rites. His doctor, Deepak Namgoshi, confirmed the news of his death. According to the doctor, the ‘Disco Dancer’ hit maker passed away last night due to multiple health issues. He had been hospitalized for a month and discharged on Monday, but his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called a doctor to visit their home, after which he was transferred to the hospital, and he was suffering from multiple health problems. “He died of obstructive sleep apnea last night,” said Dr. Deepak Namjoshi. After hearing the news of Babi Lahiri’s death, many fans took to social media and paid tribute to the legendary singer. Babi Lahiri was hospitalized in April 2021 also after he tested positive for coronavirus.
