Every Swiftie that enters Paycor court this weekend comes with its own story of fandom and lore. The level of excitement and opportunity for the Friday night and Saturday night shows is just over the $92 million in projected local spending in the greater Cincinnati area. For hardcore Taylor Swift fans, the concerts are also a space to gather and celebrate their shared love for each of Swift’s albums. Among the attendees of the Friday and Saturday shows are Lauren Rubinstein of Blue Ash and Amber Sehlhorst of Alexandria. The two best friends have traveled to see different Taylor Swifts for years, and now they can see her in their own backyard. Both women, now in their 30s, are very excited about Swift coming to Cincinnati for the first time in over a decade. “The city has really changed, and I think it’s grown,” said Sahlehorst. “It’s an underrated city. We have a lot to offer in terms of food experiences and different cultures, you know. So the fact that the music industry, Taylor Alison Swift, will be here, it’s iconic.” Rubinstein is no stranger to the IRAs tour. I’ve already seen the show in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. She shared some advice based on her personal experience for those looking forward to the three-hour-plus concert. “Don’t wear shoes, or heels, or anything like that,” Rubinstein advised to those still collecting their concert outfits. “I even had sneakers on my feet, and I took them in the middle of a show in Philadelphia.” Rubinstein also offered other advice, including bringing a coat for possible weather conditions, arriving early and, if necessary, parking safely away from the stadium to avoid concert crowds. Rubinstein says she met Taylor Swift in 2019 during a private listening session in Nashville for her album Lover. During that experience, Rubinstein said she spent one-on-one time with Swift and remembered their conversation. “She’s the most generous person, and it’s such a pleasure that she would love to talk about her one-on-one with you,” said Rubinstein. “It’s like you’ve known her for years and years. She was so down to earth, so sweet. Like she’s not like a crazy star.” To learn more about the details regarding the ERAS coming to Cincinnati, click here.
