'Superman' Filming Offers First Glimpse of Hawkgirl in Sexy Scene with Green Lantern and Mr. Terrific (PHOTOS)

Spoiler alert: Possible plot points for a future “Superman” movie. Be careful.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Need a theme song for today's on-site activity with James Gunn's “Superman”? We suggest The Beatles' “With a Little Help from My Friends.”

In a public arena, we had all the makings of a Justice League, with Isabela Merced (Hawk Girl), Nathan Fillion (Green Lantern), Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi), and Superman himself, David Corenswet, all in action.

The scenes that began filming in mid-morning appear to come during (or at the end of) the conflict, with a crowd of onlookers gathered in the square.

Some of the extras seemed to be welcoming the heroes; most seemed to be looking at the Huntington Building for some imaginary object or incident.

Merced and Gathegi were lowered to the ground from the air, joining Corenswet and Filion before the quartet headed towards the gathered crowd.

The Hawkgirl and Terrific actors seem to be handling their gear well, though Merced did stumble in one shot.

At 11:45 a.m., the temperature was 88 degrees Fahrenheit (23 degrees Celsius), the sky was mostly sunny during the shoot, and everyone on set seemed to be feeling the heat, especially those who were hanging in the air.

Gathegi had the added burden of wearing a huge jetpack in the scene. Fortunately, there was an assistant in blue to help Gathegi and Merced direct them in various shots.

With the promise of some zip-lining later in the day, both Merced and Gathegi were wearing harnesses for much of the shoot. Paramedics brought ice to both actors to keep them cool.

At the scene, Corenswet was seen carrying two children after a short walk north on Rockwell Street. He comforted the two young men for a time.

For his part, Jean seemed to direct the crew to replicate different angles of the same shot, with or without a giant umbrella. Jean had a lot of back and forth between the actors and the director's tent.

Representatives from the Metropolitan Police Department were then introduced into the shot, appearing to direct these civilian onlookers.

Fans who left the set speculated that the alternate angle/shadow shots may be augmented with moving images after principal photography was completed.

At break time at 12:30 p.m., a large number of extras headed to the “extras holding area” at Tower City Center for lunch.
