Chrysler Stylus’ father It recalls 19808 hybrid electric minivan and urged owners to stop recharging it, after 12 fires were reported in parked cars.
The automaker said the recall covers 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica hybrids. They were all off and off, while eight were connected to chargers. Stylantis said he was not aware of any related injuries or accidents.

Stellantis advises owners to refrain from recharging vehicles and to park away from structures and other vehicles. The automaker said it was working to confirm the cause of the fires.

Owners can continue to operate vehicles with the internal combustion engine.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration declined to comment.
The recall includes 16,741 vehicles in the United States, 2,317 in Canada, and another 750 outside North America.

Other automakers have had fire problems with hybrid or all-electric vehicles.
General Motors Corporation It halted production of its Chevrolet Bolt electric car in August and extended that suspension until the end of this month.

The largest US automaker in August expanded its Bolt recall to more than 140,000 vehicles to replace battery units after a series of fires. GM has also indefinitely halted retail sales of new Bolt vehicles.
