Taking a leap forward in sustainability and digital transformation: Four medium-sized companies from the region are embarking on a project to achieve this goal Allgäu Airport Memmingen to. A green technology hub, the “GreenTech Hub”, is being built there with about 2,000 square meters of office space and workshops: space for up to 30 startups to settle here. There are four Allgäu companies behind the Green Technology Centre
Alois Müller Group, headquartered in Ungerhausen (Unterallgäu), the Südpack company from Ochsenhausen (Biberach region) as well as the Reisacher car dealership and the Kutter construction company from Memmingen. They not only want to work with the startups themselves, but also include other medium-sized companies and also strengthen communication with universities, research institutions and investors in particular.

The merger of the two companies has ambitious goals, as revealed by Corinna Tabe, who together with Dr. Stefan Lenz is Managing Director of GreenTech Hub GmbH: “In the long term, we want to become the leading green technology hub in southern Germany, and later also throughout Germany and Europe.”
The Green Technology Center at Memmingen Airport is scheduled to open in mid-2025. According to the initiators, future work and developments at the “GreenTech Hub” will focus on the areas of energy, mobility, construction and packaging, among others. Sustainability and digitalization have been announced as goals and criteria.
The Green Technologies Center revolves around the circular economy, artificial intelligence and renewable energies
According to the announcement, the offices and workshops will mainly focus on renewable energies, new materials, innovative green business models, circular economy, digitalization and artificial intelligence. “In medium-sized companies, we are fast, agile and have good ideas,” said Andreas Müller, initiator of the center and managing director of the Alois Müller Group.
