Technically, Diablo 4 is already a Blizzard game on Xbox Game Pass, but many are wondering where the rest of Activision Blizzard’s vast portfolio is. After all, the studio’s acquisition was finalized in late 2023.
The new Call of Duty game will be available directly on the subscription in the fall, and as we've heard, there will be older games on Xbox Game Pass before then. In August there will be, among others, Tony Hawk 1 + 2 (Remake) and the Spyro Trilogy high Sources go.
Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilology is also included, but Microsoft won't just put all of Activision Blizzard's games in Xbox Game Pass, it wants to gradually introduce them as a subscription.
At the end of 2023, I didn’t think Microsoft would now roll everything into a subscription in one fell swoop, but I’m surprised at how slowly that’s happening. My guess at the time was that games would be spread out over the course of a year and gradually introduced to Xbox Game Pass. Let’s see how many subscriptions we end up with by the end of 2024.
